Fellowships for Faculty in Education

Foundation for Child Development Young Scholars Program. To $150,000 for research on development of children in immigrant families from birth to age 10. Behavioral and social sciences, education. Ph.D. within past 15 yrs; pre-tenure or tenure within past 4 yrs.
William T. Grant Scholars $350,000 over 5 yrs for research on settings for youth ages 8-25 in the US. All disciplines; researcher within 7 yrs of receiving terminal degree. For study contributing to a body of relevant and useful empirical evidence. July 1
Grawemeyer Award in Education $200,000 to honor and stimulate dissemination of an original and feasible idea, proposal, initiative, or achievement, presented or published recently, with potential to bring about significant improvement in educational practice and advances in educational attainment. Deadline April.
Knowles Fellowship: Math, Science Knowles Science Teaching Foundation. To $150,000 over 5 yrs for those intending to teach high school science or math in the U.S., tuition/stipend support to enroll in secondary teacher credential program. Requires BA or BS in science, math, or engineering. Apps open Sept 15
Leibniz-DAAD Research Fellowships Postdoc grants in Germany, up to 12 months. PhD within past 2 yrs. Humanities, social science, education, math, life sciences, engineering. June 15
NAE/Spencer Postdoc $55,000 PhD or EdD within past 5 yrs. Research project related to education. Deadline Nov.
Spencer Fellows at CASBS Funded by Spencer, but administered through the National Academy of Education, the $70,000 fellowships support early career scholars who, through rigorous research, show potential for making significant contributions to education.
UNESCO Fellowship Up to $15,000 for 1 to 6 months abroad in training or advanced research. April 1
ETS tests, Visiting Scholars $3,500 honorarium, travel, housing. Month of June at ETS; write/review test questions and equity. Members of underrepresented groups. Deadline early December.
WISE Awards $20,000 international award for already-implemented concrete, action-oriented education initiatives with transformative impact on societies. Innovative projects, promoting inclusion, to spread best practices. May 31.
