Responsible Conduct of Research Training Requirement
In response to the National Science Foundation (NSF) mandate that all persons supported by NSF funding (faculty, researchers, postdoctoral researchers and undergraduate and graduate students) receive Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training in order to conduct research (see
NSF Requirements for RCR Training ) and NIH requirements (see https://
grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-10-019.html), the OGSR has registered with the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI). TCNJ is subject to review by NSF and must verify that all persons supported by NSF to conduct research have received RCR training. The CITI website will provide the training and testing for all persons affiliated with TCNJ research projects. This service is not limited only to those with NSF support.
To register, please visit the CITI website. You must create an account under an existing registered group so please select The College of New Jersey as your affiliated group. You must complete the RCR modules and accompanying testing before you engage in any research activities.
The CITI Program also offers a webinar package for users to access as well as a full grants writing course. For complete information on how to access the CITI modules, please see step-by-step directions here: CITI PROGRAM DIRECTIONS
